About
Julie is a E-RYT 200 and has earned certifications in TIYT (Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy) and Functional Movement Therapy. She is currently in the process of obtaining her 500 hour Teacher of Yoga Therapy certification. She began practicing yoga in 1998, 2 years after an accident which left her physically limited. Initially seeking mobility she quickly realized the benefits extended well beyond the physical and into the psycho-emotional and energetic levels, and then she was hooked! Through study and personal
experience, Julie’s passion for the healing benefits of yoga continue to grow. She is devoted to working with people who have been exposed to trauma and are looking to explore various methods of self-regulation. In her classes you can expect a grounded practice with a focus on balancing breath, strength, awareness and connection. “I have been blessed by many outstanding and impactful teachers, however my greatest teachers have been nature, life and my children.”
